Hello and welcome to Art by Erik, I am a full-time graphic designer for my local newspaper.
Another passion I have is illustration, I have drawn and sketched my whole life. After spending many years as a graphic designer, I became more interested in getting back to my roots as an illustrator and have continued to grow my talent and skills. All of my digital artwork can be purchased as art prints, custom celebration / seasonal greeting cards or posters.

Designer & Ilustrator

I have been a print / publication designer for my whole career I love print design and making publications, that are bold, engaging and visually pleasing to read. My approach to design is to keep things simple, clean and I hope timeless. As an illustrator / digital artist I love bringing whimsical, fantastical worlds and characters to life. There are so many things that inspire me to create my own art and express myself through art. My biggest influences in my work comes from science fiction and fantasy genres, as well every day things that I see around me.

Recent Digital Art

Here are some recent examples of the pieces I've created. Most of my art starts out as sketch on paper, then I import it into Procreate on my iPad and from there is where the magic happens. Every now and then I feel the need to stick with traditional media and break out the pencils, markers and occasionally watercolor and acrylic paint.
